A few second opinion cases over the past week

Post by lcoughey »

Case 1 - 500GB Seagate Grenada with stuck heads
Competitor Quote was over $3000 USD
Data recovered by Recovery Force in a few hours for about $400 USD (new pricing would have it land around $700 USD)

Case 2 - 5TB Seagate M11 no longer detecting in Windows via USB
Competitor Quote was over $2000 USD
Data recovered by Recovery Force in a few hours for about $400 USD

Case 3 - 1TB Seagate Rosewood
Competitor Quote was over $2500 CAD
Data not recoverable by Recovery Force because the patient ROM was blank when it arrived

All the cases are from different labs, all who invest heavily in online marketing and sales. I'd love to see a time when word spreads enough that people start just coming to us first.

There should be laws stopping drive sabotage. The customer must feel bad when the company they go to first does this.
