After going in circles trying to find a link to download the Quickbooks Online Desktop Apps, I finally managed to get them through an online support chat. Hopefully this will help someone else save hours of wasted time.

If you ware wondering why you might want to install the app rather than work through the browswer, it is nice because you don't need to keep having to log back in through the app, which is really annoying with 2FA enabled.
