SAS to USB conversion

Post by lcoughey »

Up until now, I knew of no device capable of connecting a SAS drive to a USB connection. Apparently, there is such an adapter being sold on Amazon.

Before anyone goes and purchases this device, I'd like to state that I cannot confirm whether or not this device is legitimate and works. If you do choose to purchase one, please report back and let us know if it really does work.

I found this:

Tableau T6u Forensic USB 3.0 SAS Bridge Kit:

https://www.cdw.com/product/Tableau-T6u ... it/5265963 (US$678)
The Tableau T6u Forensic Bridge Kit enables fast forensic imaging of SAS hard drives on the field. It uses the USB 3.0 product architecture and uses an efficient forensic imaging software for faster results. This kit is ideal for imaging large SAS drives found in servers and workstations. Its read/write mode allows users to wipe, format or modify SAS drives, without requiring an SAS controller card.
