Thanks for sharing Iurii! Having had used version 5 for so long, it is night and day how much better version 7 is and how often it gets updates with huge improvements and add-ons.

What's new in version 7.14.1:

* Added double-degraded RAID6 recovery with DELL Equallogic diagonal XOR;
* Search for APFS encryption keys:
- added displaying of both KEK and VEK records;
- added search for older keyring blocks for known APFS containers.
* Fixed bug building degraded RAID4/RAID5 VX;
* Fixed issue with RAID6 adaptive reconstruction when one disk is missing;
* Pattern-storage/defects mask: extended length of pattern field to 1536 symbols;
* Fixed bug with parsing Novell NSS 'big' partition;
* Optimization of HFS+ scan result set;
* Fixed issue with focus location in hex 'go to' dialog (fixed base position);
* In partition manager: fixed bug removing partitions.

What's new in version 7.15:

* Added Adaptec RAID6 (dedicated XOR) with degraded mode;
* Added degraded/double-degraded recovery for HP MSA RAID6 with diagonal XOR;
* Added support of HP ADG RAID6 coefficients (up to 48 drives);
* Added support of custom coefficients for RAID6 Reed-Solomon code;
* Added Compact Left Symmetric rotation for RAID5 (for LSI RAID50 etc.);
* Hexadecimal search with any block size (big blocks scanned with jumps);
* Fixed bug with FAT/FAT32 file system indexing.

What's new in version 7.16:

* Fixed bug reading legacy ReFS volumes;
* Fixed issue with no error reporting when disk is imaged to write-protected disk;
* Saving of processed data can be continued on existing file;
* Enabled manual editing of Read-once storage;
* Fixed bugs in FAT recovery module:
- Removed record attributes verification for Volume Name entry;
- Fixed bug with reconstruction of fragmented files when second FAT table is damaged.
* Modified procedure of classification of found MFT entries from unlinked MFT chunks.

What's new in version 8.0:
* Enhanced disk imager function:
-Added settings for read method, timeout, buffer size, direction, protocol (ATA, SCSI), defects skipping, etc.;
-Added optional "safe zone" test after reading errors;
-Saving map of defective blocks in *.sdmf format and logging of copying errors;
-Imaging of used space on the basis of a file system map;
-Imaging of a selected group of files without having to save them out.
* Advanced “Open storage device” procedure:
-Added configurable parameters for data access (method, timeout, etc.);
-Added direct chaining to “read-once” (on-demand imaging);
-Added defects emulation on Read-once and SDLSparse virtual storages;
-Added option to 'stop' the drive (when it works in ATA/SCSI mode).
* Reworked image file loader from fragments:
-Added virtual size and component type indication;
-Added procedure for automatic sorting of component files.
* Extended support of DeepSpar DDI:
-Bitmap-based imaging via DDI;
-Added support of split DDI disk images (metadata+data disks);
-Indication of disks connected through DDI;
-Changed check for DDI availability by using addressed "discovery" packet (it must respond and with the same config).
* Added map of used FS blocks and its conversion to a defects mask (for FAT12/FAT16/FAT32, ExFAT, NTFS, ReFS/ReFS3, HFS+, APFS, Ext2-Ext4, ReiserFS, XFS/XFS5, UFS, UFS/BE, Adaptec UFS, VMFS/VMFS6, VirtualFS).
*Major rework of Hexadecimal Viewer:
-Added address translation to parent for file formats (VHDX/VHD, VMDK/seSparse, VDI, PAR, QCOW/QCOW2, DMG/DMG4), RAID (0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 6A, Span, BeyondRAID, RDL, MS Storage Spaces), storages created using data mapping (CoreStorage, LVM with thin provisioning, encrypted volumes, etc.), hex view of files;
-Added indication of used FS space in the hexadecimal viewer and moving to the next used/free cluster when indication is enabled;
-Added offset as a percentage to hex inspector;
-File fragments view moved to the right-panel window with added virtual offset and size fields, sorting by offset/virtual offset, "goto virtual offset in file" option;
-Added color indication in HEX of the currently selected file fragment.
* Extended reporting functions:
-Added "error type" column to the displayed report of files and folders;
-Added "Check files for defects" report type to indicate "defective"/"non-imaged" files;
-Added "bad files" report in HTML format;
-Added report of file fragments.
* Added software events log for disk detect events (access, read, etc.), I/O errors (defects), some of VFS events, etc. with a log control (details, save to file, config, clear);
*Optimized file system scan with five options of handling existing file system;
*Modifications to file copying:
-Added optional "summary" line to the copying log (in checkbox mode or when a folder or multiple objcts are being copied);
-Added option to save files with read errors (the error is logged, unreadable blocks are filled with a fixed pattern);
-Added option to move file to $BadFiles folder when file is "copied with read error".
* Fixed a number of bugs and issues.

UFS Explorer Professional Recovery: What's new in version 8.1
* Modifications to Disk Imager:
- Option to save defect map and log to 'the same location' when target path is selected;
- Added 'test API call' start stage to make sure API works with specified parameters;
- Pausing imaging process in case of API call errors (when disk is disconnected etc.);
- Read errors from imaging procedure (ATA/SCSI) are now duplicated to main event log;
- Fixed skipping blocks when SCSI layer reports invalid 'resid' value (Linux etc.);
* New functions in procedure of files recovery in 'raw mode' (IntelliRAW):
- DOCX, JPEG, Raw photos - extract file name and modification date from file content;
- XLSX, TIFF - extract file modification date from metadata;
- Added analysis of file tails of ZIP archives when chunk sizes are not enabled;
* Toggle selection of partitions in partition manager;
* Fixed bug reading disks with defect blocks under Linux using 'system procedure'.

* Support of MRT DE Tasks:
- Added option to load Task from context menu of virtual task disk mapped to OS;
- Loading source name/ID information from the Task file;
- Loading map of defects associated with the Task file;
- Control of disk imaging via running MRT software (by ranges, files, maps etc.);
* Open disk image file from MRT DE File Image chunks;
* Rework of NTFS scan procedure:
- In part of 'red' file systems - for memory use reduction;
- Exraction of some missing file system structure elements from Log File (Journal);
* In disk imager:
- Disabled bad blocks logging if defect block is emulated by the software;
- Fixed rounding issue when map cluster size is smaller then imaging sector size;
- Fixed bug with growing saved jump size (each time after tool restart);
* Fixed several bugs causing software crash.

* 'Open file location' function in search result now selects object in list;
* In file system report, double-click to record in error log selects object in Explorer;
* Preserving selection of sub-folder when navigating to parent folder using navigation bar;
* EXT file system: speed up of journal processing at completion stage;
* XFS file system: optimization of indexing procedure;
* APFS file system:
- Added support of Apple extended attributes for direct access;
- Added support of basic (resident) attributes in scan result;
* HFS+ file system:
- Speed up of file system indexing;
- Fixed bug reading extended attributes in direct access mode;
* Apple extended attributes and resource forks:
- Support of saving them to NTFS/ReFS named data streams for Apple Filing Protocol (AFP);
- Attribute storage in scan result was moved one level deeper in folder structure;
* Raw recovery: support of more types and several enhancements.

What's new in version 8.4:

* Added DeepSpar Disk Imager network terminal to 'Tools' menu;
* RAID builder dialog:
- Added virtual sector size transform to disk menu;
- Changed icons to indicate component type and read method (System/ATA/SCSI);
- Ability to load partial RAID config via this UI (when components are missing);
- Displaying drive serial number or image file path as ID for missing components;
* RAID configuration files:
- Save/restore drive read method (System/ATA/SCSI);
- Drive Serial Number is now saved to config file;
- Restore RAID config with verification and priority of drive Serial Number;
- When disk image is not found, searching it at the same location on other drives;
- URCF extension is now mandatory for RAID configuration files;
* Added error reporting for bad RAID configs when opened via general 'Open' dialog;
* Added 'Skip file' button to copying dialog (to skip individual files);
* Raw recovery:
- Added file name generation for .contact, .vcf, .fb2 files;
- Recovery of name (Original/Internal) and build date from Windows executables;
- Adjustment of file size for EXE/DLL/SYS files to match size of sections and signature;
* Speed-up of properties (preview) extraction for Windows executable files;
* In disk list: change drive icon to ATA/SCSI when drive works with custom method;
* Added ability to change read method via storage properties;
* In 'Open device': devices are re-sorted by drive number.
