Matching Heads - Rosewoods

I have a couple of Rosewoods that "look" like they should have the same head preamp:

Model: ST1000LM035 (exact match)
PN: 1RK172-568 (exact match)
SN: WDE... (first 3 digits match)
Site: WU (exact match)
Date: 18JUL2017 (22JAN2017)
Preamp: C2 02 (82 14)

To be honest, I haven't had a chance to try cross exchanging the C2 and 82 preamps with a Rosewood drive, but my experience with other models of Seagates tends to be that it doesn't work. Anyone ever try it? What is your findings?
