Just for fun, I cloned a 250GB HDD with the RapidSpar. Then ran SR on LEVEL 2 on the same 250GB HDD.
I wanted to compare what the RapidSpar does with a bad/unrecoverable sector vs what SR does with the same sector.
This drive only had 2 unrecoverable sectors.

SAMSUNG HM250JI => RapidSpar Unit
Sectors Read Successfully: 488,397,166 (100.00%), Error: 2 (0.00%), Skipped: 0 (0.00%)

SAMSUNG HM250JI => SpinRite 6.1

What are you setting up with the G-list clearing an SR not detecting a thing ;)

Just research, seeing if it's reproduceable, and trying to figure out why it's happening.

1st Theory: Only the data is corrupted and the drive cannot ECC it, but the actual sector is fine.
2nd Theory: Clearing the G-List doesn't undo reallocation.
3rd Theory: SR could be adding the sector to the P-List???

Well I have a WD2500BJKY-75F4T0 drive full of bad sectors, should be perfect for testing out "SR NOREWRITE". ;)
