Hi
I got a WD Elements 10B8 1012
My friend connected it to android phone and did a format on it.
How do I recover and revert the format to the old partition ?

You can scan the drive the demo of
R-Studio. If it finds your files, save them to another drive, if not, you might need the assistance of a data recovery pro.

Will testdisk work to recover the partition lost and get back the drive as it was before ?

It might, but i wouldn't try it without a ful sector-by-sector copy of the drive.

yes) If you're looking for something to recover lost or deleted data, you're lucky enough as there are many software companies in the market which provide you best data recovery software.

Perhaps a dumb question, but how the heck did he connect it to an android phone? And, why?
