Hard Drive Data Recovery By Disk Drill

Post by Mubasshir »

[Moderator Note] This is a perfect example of how companies with crappy software get so many positive online reviews. They hire people to make fake posts about their experience with their programs, fooling people with legitimate issues in buying their sub-par programs and getting sub-par results, if they don't end up destroying their data in the process.

Hi
I have just recovered 1.6 GB data free from my hard drive using Disk Drill software from [Link removed]
Up to 2 GB recovery by this software it is free. If you want to recover more data, then you have to pay.
My OS is windows 10 and I had lost one of my important files while upgrading my OS Windows 7 to Windows 10. There were some office documents, my coding files and some images. Someone recommended me to use disk drill. I used this software and luckily I could recover my lost files with all of the data in it.
It is very easy to use the software and also at first there are basic tutorial. You will get the option of 1. Quick Scan, 2. Lost Partition Search, 3. Reconstructs 200+ file formats, 4. All file systems, 5. Deep Scan, 6. Unlimited Scan.
If you don't upgrade to unlimited recovery than you will get the option of basic recovery which I used. Here you will see your drives and their free and used spaces. You will get the both option of search by names and date range by this software. It is very helpful as sometimes we don't remember the file name. Then You will get the option to recover data.
I recovered all the data by first time except 1. For that I had to recover twice as at the first time it was partly recovered.
But after all I am satisfied with the software and its recovery rate.

After reading all the posts by the user, it is clear that they only joined the forum to sneak in links to their garbage program.

Disk Drill, a lot of effort has gone into the interface. Guess some would call it pretty.

FWIW I tested it against a somewhat more complex logical corruption issue and it's file system reconstruction completely failed. It was able to recover files based on carving, signature based. Which in my book is a last resort which I'd only try if all else fails. Note that a few tools were able to virtually reconstruct the file system so that filename + directory structure were recovered as well.

Even better, if you're planning on being prepared, you can do any of the following: Create a bootable system on a memory stick or external drive or dual internal drive. Include deleted file recovery software on each of these. As soon as you lose the data, shut down, boot to one of these drives and work from there. You will be working on a stable environment where you won't be doing additional damage. The chance of recovering what you want is actually quite high.

Or invest in a good on-line backup program.
