Re: Charging for Parts Saves Clients Money
Yes, I think this system of billing is only fair. Especially with the Seagate DM models running up the parts costs on some recoveries, it keeps everyone else from having to offset those outrageous prices. Just a shame if you're one of those Seagate DM hard drive owners.

Re: Hard Drive Data Recovery Help
Hi Jared, you should take the help of [spam link removed] who can help retrieve your data safely. Hope this helps. The original post was a joke, I work at another data recovery company: http://www.data-medics.com. I was just testing Luke's response time a question on his forum. :D Though I did actu...

Re: Pricing update
I think these days it's how you have to bill things out. Especially with these Seagate DM drives which often require 4 head swaps and still don't always work. And it keeps it more affordable for those still using older drives that need clean room work. It's how we've been billing from the start.

Re: ST2000DM001 Head Maps
Just goes to show why the serial is important to check. I guess in this case the "2" must highlight the extra head. Probably was supposed to be a 3Tb, but had a platter surface that didn't pass QC.
What was the head map of that one anyway?

Re: Seagate 7200.12
Just got one in here myself. It had a nice ring in the platter right where the heads park, so no chance of recovery.

Re: iPhone 5 Data Recovery
Yeah, Tenorshare has been spamming my forum as well. It's a shame that these companies hire spammy SEO companies to link build on forums like this instead of having a real rep join and have meaningful interaction with the data recovery pros. Makes me really respect the guys at companies like R-tt, R...
