Re: Tips needed practicing unsticking heads!

The first to come to mind is PCImage in the UK. If you securely package your hard drive in a box with lots ...

Re: Tips needed practicing unsticking heads!
For us to help, you really should provide details about what the model of drive you need to have recovered. A few generic thoughts, based on the idea of unsticking heads with DIY. 1. you really should inspect the heads and platters under a microscope after you remove them 2. you should not power the...

Re: Phison mSATA RAID 0 SSD (SSE256GTTCR-S80)
It is nice when the research of the past helps pave the way for future cases. Just did one today, this time the brand was a Kingston SMSR150S3/128G which turns out to be 2 x 64GB SSDs setup in a RAID 0. Mirrored one half with a standard mSATA adapter, mirrored the other half with my modified mSATA a...

Re: wd my cloud 1 disk encrypted

Re: wd my cloud 1 disk encrypted
I just looked at the link you sent and it seems like they are describing the setup where they use a SQL database to replicate the file system. This, too, is supported with the latest version of UFS Explorer.

Re: wd my cloud 1 disk encrypted
The last unit I had was encrypted with LUKS. The client didn't pay attention to the message to save the key. The only way to recover the data was for me to fix the unit with my clone, load it up in the web interface, make the shares open to me on my network, then copy the files over the network to t...
