HDDSuperClone & SCSI
When it comes to cloning Ultra Wide SCSI drives, there aren't a lot of hardware imagers designed for handling the unstable drives, leaving data recovery technicians with software imaging programs to handle the work. I'd like to confirm that the free version of HDDSuperClone is making quick work of a...

Re: PCB BIOS and FLASH swap
I don't know - he says that this is used to replace the old method with WD passports, where he had to cut up a SATA connector and wire it to the PCB to bypass the USB connector. I thought that's what an adaptor is. Here's the link that will direct you to the exact time in the video where he says th...

ADATA Ultimate SU630
As of right now, there are no know solutions to handle this model of SSD when the firmware gets damaged and the SSD goes unresponsive.
Thus far, we have confirmed two possible controllers that can be found in this SSD:
512GB SSD - Realtek RTS5732DLQ
240GB SSD - Maxio MAS0902A-B2C

Re: PCB BIOS and FLASH swap
@lcoughey Thank you for your reply. Where is "Recovery Force" located? $350 is actually a fair price. We are in Canada and our full address is on the website that hosts this forum. 1. I would have done the soldering myself; I have a soldering specialist that would have done it for $30. Th...

Re: PCB BIOS and FLASH swap
Typically, the symptoms you describe are firmware related, usually caused by bad sectors which are, in turn, caused by one or more weak/failing heads. For most labs, this is a likely a routine recovery where we would likely convert the drive to SATA, fix any firmware issues, image the drive, working...

Re: PCB BIOS and FLASH swap
I already answered you on your hddguru post, but figured it would be good to have it on record here too. It is not a PCB issue. Swapping to SATA only compounds the issues if you aren't equipped to deal with weak heads, firmware, bad sectors, encryption and possible file system damage. The problem is...

Re: getdatafornNTFS st3 save how convert or open recover data
Your first step should be to get a full sector-by-sector clone of the drive and make sure nothing further is written back to the original. Then, after you get the clone completed, connect the clone to another system that has the data recovery software you wish to scan the drive with installed. I rec...
