You can try to match the first 3 digits of the SN, the model and part number.

QNAP Custom SSL Certificate Setup

This really doesn't have anything to do with data recovery, but is storage related. I had to renew my SSL certificate for my QNAP and couldn't remember how I set it up in the first place. Their technical support was not very helpful and I couldn't find any forum postings that were simple and straigh...

Is SSD 240GB ADATA RTS5732DLQ, drive is busy!

Not solution?

Re: ddrescue recovers 0 byte from HDD

Thank you for the suggestion. Since it's failing drive, would power cycle hurt it and make it die faster? Is there any milder way without power cycle? Reboot machine does not lead to power cycle but it's not very convenience. Thank you. Of course, every power cycle could be the last. I never though...

Carefully pull the power from the drive or use an external power source with a switch.

Re: ddrescue recovers 0 byte from HDD

Repowering the drive is fine, but pay attention to the drive path assigned when it redetects. It may not be the same and you will need to modify you command accordingly.

Re: ddrescue recovers 0 byte from HDD

It seems that the one bad drive has some internal issues that are preventing you from getting a clone of the drive. I don't believe a PCB swap with a ROM transfer will do much to remedy the situation. If the data is valuable to you, it is best to have it looked at by a professional data recovery lab...
