Open the Western Digital Marvel utility on PC3000, click on Unlock SED HDD, select the saved ROM file, click Unlock HDD (with SA access) and then write that file back to the ROM with a programmer.

The SSD cache is toast on the patient board. It is just an odd duckling model where things just don't work like they should when writing the ROM to a donor board. In communicating with peers, it seems that I need a board that already has the same firmware on it, though I'm not convinced that it will...
