Re: Crazy ST1000LM014 SSHD Recovery

Almost a year later and we have another one. The same solution works, too. Will try to take some time and see if I can tweak it for a faster recovery.

Re: Introduction

Most data recovery pros use the big brother to R-Undelete, R-Studio. So, we are all quite aware of how powerful it can be. I'm glad that you have been successful with that project. The R-Studio team are members of the forum...so, who knows, they may post a comment here too.

Re: Sandforce SSD recovery

I'm pretty confident that we are now able to recover a significant number of SandForce SSDs that we could not recover before. I've added a SandForce Data Recovery page to the website and am hoping to get some more in to put my theories to further testing.

Re: Sandforce SSD recovery

I just went back through our R&D bin of SandForce SSDs that we were unable to recover in the past and the clients declined the higher rates offered by other labs. Low and behold, we are able to recover 1/2 of them using a new procedure for SandForce SSDs stuck in a BSY state.

Stay tuned!

Sandforce SSD recovery

Anyone have much luck with Sandforce, either with in-house techniques or with the help of a another lab? As of right now, the only Sandforce recoveries which we have received and were recoverable were done by us. All the other cases which the clients accepted other lab's pricing have come back unrec...

Feature Requests

Rather than post my desired feature requests to other forums, I figured I'd post my list here, editing it as new features are released and new request ideas come to mind: APFS XFS VMFS VMDK (ability to access as a drive, scan and recover data from within) Ability to filter files based on recoverabil...

Re: Hard Drive Destruction

When crushing a drive with an Arbour press, it is important to make sure that the platters, themselves are destroyed in the process. Any data destruction process has its flaws, if not done correctly.

Gotta give credit where credit is due

If I'm being honest, I have to admit that I've been pretty hard on Stellar over the past few years. On top of my issues where every recovery program of theirs that I have tried, up to now, generally shows good results in the demo, but after I purchase the program and spend a day or two fighting to g...
